Greer Enterprises hires drivers with hazmat endorsements, technical staff with chemistry or environmental backgrounds, and operations personnel across its Mobile and Tampa locations. Training and certification support is provided.

What the work is actually like
Field work means travel across eight states, physical work in PPE, and sites that are occasionally unpleasant. It also means genuine variety, real technical problem solving, and being the person who resolves a situation rather than the one who escalates it.
We support certification. Staff working toward CHMM, hazmat and HAZWOPER credentials get the time and the funding, because technical capability is what the business sells.
What we look for
- A clean driving record for driving roles, and a willingness to travel
- Chemistry, biology or environmental background for technical roles
- Comfort with documentation. This job is substantially paperwork
- Willingness to say when something is wrong rather than working around it
- Physical capability for field work in PPE in Gulf Coast summers
- No prior waste experience required for entry level roles. We train

Do I need waste industry experience?
Not for entry level roles. We train, and several of our technical staff came from laboratory or manufacturing backgrounds rather than from waste.
What certifications do you support?
CHMM, hazmat, HAZWOPER and CDL endorsements. Time and funding are provided for staff pursuing them.
How much travel is involved?
Field roles travel across eight states with overnight stays. Dispatch, characterization and administrative roles are based in Mobile or Tampa.
